The Pakistan Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE) was founded during the 1st International Conference on "Quality Assurance in Higher Education," held on December 18-19, 2017, and hosted by Khyber Medical University (KMU) in Peshawar. KMU’s Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) proposed PNQAHE as a platform to connect from over 250 universities across Pakistan. The initiative received strong support from both national and international participants.
The PNQAHE Secretariat was officially inaugurated by Mr. Mushtaq Ghani, Speaker of the Provincial Assembly, on October 27, 2020. International conferences are to be held in each province of Pakistan. The network successfully organized its 2nd and 3rd international conferences at the University of Lahore (Punjab) and Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur (Sindh), respectively.
