The Pakistan Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE) was launched during the 1st International Conference on Quality Assurance in Higher Education on December 18-19, 2017, organized by Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar. During the conference, KMU's Quality Enhancement Cell proposed PNQAHE as a platform for Quality Enhancement Cells (QECs) across 250 Pakistani universities. The proposal was widely accepted by participants from national and international institutions, who were then nominated as full PNQAHE members. An interim committee was established to facilitate the voting process for the network’s executive committee, formed on September 27, 2018.
PNQAHE has since united quality assurance professionals across Pakistan, hosting subsequent international conferences at the University of Lahore and Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. It has also become a regional partner of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). To promote quality assurance practices, PNQAHE launched the *Journal of PNQAHE*, issuing four volumes of peer-reviewed articles.
The PNQAHE Secretariat has planned the 4th International Conference on "Future-Proof Quality Assurance in Higher Education," scheduled for March 5-7, 2024.

Pakistan Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (PNQAHE) organized the second International Conference on Quality Assurance in Higher Education on April 23-25, 2109 in the University of Education Lahore with the collaboration of Khyber Medical University and University of Education Lahore.
Quality Enhancement Cell of Khyber Medical University organized the first international conference on quality assurance in higher education on December 18,19, 2017. Purpose of this conference was to provide a forum to the staff of Quality Enhancement cells are established by Higher Education commission since 2006-07 and number is increased more than 180, therefore there was dire need of a forum to share good practices and experiences. Funding of the conference Was provided by Khyber Medical University more then 3 million is approval by the higher education commission for holding this conference which a motivation for the team of QEC to organize it at the professional level to attract the stakeholder of higher education
The PNQAHE Secretariat was officially inaugurated by Mr. Mushtaq Ghani, Speaker of the Provincial Assembly, on October 27, 2020. International conferences are to be held in each province of Pakistan.
